Politics Recap: Santorum Wins 2 States, Mitt Flops, Rush Is An Idiot, & Ken Ard Resigns

Rick Santorum won both Alabama and Mississippi primaries last night with Mitt Romney capturing Hawaii. It seems the race is neck and neck (the primaries' numbers and outcome are much more confusing than a real election) at least from a visible view. I'm not going to be shocked when Santorum wins the rest of the South and most of the remaining Midwest. I'm surprised Newt Gingrich hasn't cut a deal with him to be Vice President in exchange of dropping the primaries.

Of all the presidential candidates, he probably scares me the most. I don't want America to be turned into a religious-state, Bush really messed up this country in a lot of ways trying to enforce his born-again beliefs upon the rest of the nation. I can't imagine how much damage Santorum will do with his hardcore Roman-Catholic beliefs. I can't really decided who I want to win the primary, because Romney has a better chance of defeating Obama so I don't want him to get it. Santorum would probably lose in the general election, but I wouldn't want the possibility of him winning to present itself.

Mitt Romney is flopping way too hard at trying to appeal to the Southern States. I'm guessing his remarks about trying to shut-down Planned Parenthood is to capture some of the pro-life folks. Planned Parenthood provides advice and contraception to millions of Americans, and those against it are either just plain ignorant or bigoted.

Speaking of contraception, Rush Limbaugh is thankfully still suffering from backlash after his uncalled-for and misogynistic remarks towards activist Sandra Fluke for speaking her opinion in favor of free contraception for all women with health-care plans.

What's even more embarrassing is the constant comments from conservatives defending Limbaugh and complaining that liberal comedians/radio hosts/TV hosts make rude comments towards Sarah Palin.  Palin is not an ordinary person or even a politician. She's turned herself into this power-hungry, fear-mongering, exaggerating fake personality to rally people to her side. When Palin and her cronies apologise for every remark towards Obama, I'm sure we'll be more than happy to make amends.

My state of South Carolina just lost their Lt. Governor who was elected not even 2 years ago. Ken Ard spent most of his campaign money on personal items (e.g. expensive dresses for his wife), and violated many ethic laws. So he's stepped down for his mostly-ceremonial role.
