Shortly before Richard Nixon resigned because of the Watergate scandal, Dr. Seuss changed the title of his book Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now! into Richard Nixon Will You Please Go Now! The whole story was published in the column of his friend Art Buchwald with every mention of Marvin K. Mooney replaced with Richard Nixon. Dr. Seuss was a life-long liberal democrat.
