Fact of the Day: Liberty Cabbage

Due to tense relations with Germany during World War I, Sauerkraut's name (in America) was changed to "liberty cabbage" until the war was over.

  4. Definitely reminds me of the freedom fries mentioned above. I was a waiter during the Iraq war and everyone who ordered fries always said freedom fries. Got kinda annoying.
