Fact of the Day: Presidential Feline

Cartoonist Jim Davis named his orange cat comic character Garfield after his grandfather James Garfield Davis. Though his grandfather was named after former President James Garfield.

  2. O, I do like this fact. I was named after a family member, our kids were both named after my brother, all the grands are named after another family member....
    I love it when people are named after someone...even the comic Garfield...:)
