Fact of the Day: Element Bonding

The element carbon is in many ways similar to other elements on the periodic table, but it is also very special. Due to it's uniqueness, carbon bonds remarkably well with other elements. Which led to many complex things, including life. All known forms of life on Earth are carbon-based.
