Fact of the Day: Michigan Wolverine

Michigan has the nick-name of "The Wolverine State", though nobody is sure why it got the name. As it is ironically very rare to find a wolverine in present-day Michigan.

  4. I learned about the X-Men before I really knew anything about Wolverines. They are now the most disappointing animal in the world after the Tazmanian Devil.

  6. At one stage in my life, I thought the Wolverine was a mythical creature,:) and had never seen one. It's a shame they are dieing out, and have completely disapeared from some states.

  7. I had no idea they called Michigan this. And aside from that, where would someone go about finding a real life wolverine, anyway?

  8. They sure are nasty looking little devils. I'm sure they were there at one time but early trappers killed them all out. Who'd want a wolverine coat, anyway? Probably warm.
