Fact of the Day: Organic Era

Before the 1940s, almost all foods would have been considered organic today. It wasn't until after World War II that the strong pesticides that are harshly criticized were used in farming.

  1. An interesting fact. My Dad's garden was totally organic, except they were not labeled as such and we took it for granted. Now I sort through displays to find organic.

  7. Everything we eat is going to kill us eventually. Can't eat salt anymore. I pepper everything because I suspect doctors are going to take it away from us sooner or later.

  8. I grew up on a farm which means I also grew up on organic food.

  9. I was just thinking about how it would be nice to get back to days of growing our own food. Where farmers ruled and big companies didn't try to poison us at every turn.
