Question: Do You Read Often?

In school I will always remember our teacher's advocacy for reading more and watching little TV/video games. I sometimes doubted if they practiced what they preached, because I've read almost nothing compared to what I used to in my childhood. After high school the only novels I really read was the Harry Potter series. I have read non-fiction books every now and then, mainly as something to bring to read during lunch at work.

  1. I was amazed at the number of my friends who do no read now as adults, I was challenged on facbook to list my ten favorite books, ( I am a book lover) and then I was to challenge 5 friends to do the same, out of the five I chose only one took the challenge, they all said they do not read books, only magazines, I was shocked,

  2. I was a voracious reader until I got out of university into the full-time work force. Then with all the demands that placed on me and my time, reading fell off. I know I will not be a huge reader again until I retire and my time is my own once again.

  3. I read EVERY day, Adam, and have done so throughout my life. I can't even remember a time when I didn't read. I was reading before I went to kindergarten. I loved the Harry Potter books, and now there is a rumor going about that there may be a new one ~ I guess J K Rowling tweeted something today that has everyone buzzing! I certainly hope so! Take care!

  6. I am an avid reader. Not a day goes by that I don't stick my nose in a book. It's usually a night before I go to sleep, and when I'm taking along leisurely bath. But no matter what, every day is a reading day.

  8. I do read a lot but it's mostly non-fiction. It's been too long since I sat down with a thick novel.
