Things I Hate: Garlic

If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is garlic. I can tolerate the smell, but the taste is so awful. At least to me, I know very well that garlic is a cherished choice in most kitchens. I sometimes get bread-sticks with pizza, and Daisy will go "can we get garlic bread-sticks?". The answer is always "no".

  1. I can't stand the smell, but i do like a tiny bit in my Italian food sometimes. Did you know there's a "garlic fest"? ha ha ha. that would be torture for you.

  3. I like garlic mostly fried in a little olive oil then I dip some good Italian bread into it. It's great for sauce. BUT I hate the way my breath smells afterwards. I turn my head to hide my breath.
    Thanks for joining my blog!

  8. It's definitely an acquired taste. I was introduced to it from a very young age, and I'm okay with it. I use it in some recipes, but not too heavily. I like a subtle addition.

  9. It took me a while, but now I love it! Poor Daisy! You should let her get her garlic sticks every once in a while!

  10. I hate it, eating it raw is the most awful think ever, but it is healing

  11. Have you tried slow roasted garlic? When roasted, it turns into a paste that can be squeezed onto crunchy French bread. It's really good. Garlic gets a bad rap because people burn it, and when burnt it has a nasty bitter taste.

  12. I love garlic, not raw, but it enhances the flavour of so many foods!
