Fact of the Day: Congresswoman Kyrsten

While the 1st amendment guarantees all Americans freedom of religion, many non-religious people have been under discrimination on a social-level. Many of those running for office rarely have confidence that they can win. Only one current member of Congress, congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) is openly non-religious.

  6. Good for her! Steve's right, she is courageous. I know this has been touted many times and in many places, but religious zealotry has been responsible for countless atrocities throughout history. Even Zeus raped humans. And he had a temple.

  7. If I may comment as a Canadian, one of the more sickeningly hypocritical things about American politics is how your politicians all pretend to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO religious when their actions clearly show they are not.

  8. I'm with Debra. I get so sick of hearing about all these politicians spouting off about their Christian values, when not a one of them practice what they preach.
