Well it has certainly stood the test of time.I certainly didn't know it was only initially temporary!Thank God for the Parisians that something survived - I supposealso for the World to enjoy.The view from the top is incredible.CheersColin
I didn't know that. I've actually been to the bottom of the Eiffel Towel. Went to see it when I was in Paris many moons ago, but wasn't able to go up coz the lineup was so crazy long. It really is something else:D

It was saved by the invention of radio when it was realized the tower made a perfect radio antennae.
