Fact of the Day: Poodle

Poodle dogs originated in Germany where they were called pudelhund in German. The German word pudel is related to the English word "puddle". Poodles were originally bred to be water-dogs, which are dogs that are used by hunters to retrieve game from water.

  6. To me, Poodles have always looked like...well....sissies. I had no idea they were German and water dogs.
