Funny Story: Dog Fence

So recently we put up a new fence at our house as the old rusty one was destroyed to make room for a machine when some plumbing work under the house had to be done. Our dog Zelda has spent her time since then being walked out on a leash. She's mostly-blind with cataracts (it's genetic for her breed) so with a fence in a totally different place, she was thrown off-guard. She heard some kids down the street and got super-excited and wanted to run and bark at them. She ran right into the fence and bounced right off. I could hear one of the boys down the street say "that's a stupid dog".

  3. I imagine it looks silly if you don't know her situation. Sounds like she has learned to cope.

  4. Kids can be cruel at times. I think the animals are smarter than they are given credit for. Are you getting nervous?

  7. I had a groundhog that would get in my yard and would freak out when he would hear a noise and run face first into the fence. He'd do it over and over again until he realized he needed to figure out another way to get out of the yard lol.
