Things I Hate: Getting Up Early

I'm better staying awake at night than getting up in the morning. I have alarm clocks to get me up if I have to be somewhere, but I've gotten up as early as 4:00 a.m. before. No matter what time I go to bed the night before, waking up at a time like that is rough. It would be so easy to just close my eyes and drift back to sleep.

  2. I'm an early riser. Morning is my favorite time of day. By nine or ten PM it's time to go to bed.

  6. I am not a morning person. I have a hard time sleeping at night as seems I cannot turn my mind off. A good easily be a night person, but do not want that. I enjoy working outside too much to be sleeping during the day.

  7. I've found out the worst thing is to have a night person and an early riser living in the same house. I'm an early riser and I bang pots and pans and sing like crazy. That doen't go over very well with the late night person, LOL

  11. I was the same way when I was your age. It was almost physically painful to get up early. But now I love it.

  14. I don't function well before 9 am. I get up at 6:30 to get the girls ready for school, and after I get back home at 7:30 I go back to bed until 9. Summer is different though. I tend to wake up on my own at 8 am and am ready to face the day!

  15. Now that I work from home, I sleep much later than I used to. But I still feel like I should be going to bed around 9, as I used to when I got up at 5 a.m. each day to go to work.

  16. I am not a morning person either, but I like to read late into the night. My husband on the other hand likes getting up early in the morning before the sun is up to go walking.
