Breathtaking information! I thrust the inhabitants of Victoria look a littlehappier than the above portrait of the dear old girl???They certainly appeared quite cheerful when I visited thecity.Adam: Closer to your place is Charlotte, NC.Named after Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Queen Consortto none other than Mad King George III.Also a city where the good citizens showed no symptoms of madness associatedwith George III. Thank God for that.Colin (Brisbane. Australia)
Have a nice weekend Adam!
Having visited Victoria several years ago, this is one fact I already knew. There is a statue of her there.
I wonder, did she ever visit Canada?
Bob.The answer to your query I am 100% sure is no.She however did as a young queen visit her relatives inEurope.Colin
We even have Victoria Day:)PS I haven't seen Merlin yet. I didn't know that many of the GoT actors are in this show! Thanks for letting me know. Have you seen Terminator Genysis with Emilia Clarke? I wanna see it!
I can't believe how many locations there are with the name Victoria
Victoria really is a royal name!
you don't say!
Knew that one, even if I am on the other side of the country lol
I love the info you share. Enjoy your weekend, whether it be at home or work.
Yup, that's certainly true.
She looks bored here. Probably a artist painted her portrait a long time.
She looks so sad!
She looks so happy in that picture. lol dang.
I've visited Victoria and seen her statue there.
Wow, I did not know that. Thanks! :)
This is one fact I knew...thanks, Adam, for giving us all these tidbits.....
It's a great city, I've been there several times. On Victoria Day here in Canada (May 24-ish every year), they always have a big parade in Victoria. It's the only Canadian city that does. But that's how much they love their Queen.
