Question: Do You Drink Tap Water?

While it seems bottled water has been around a long time, though I remember they started to get really popular in the late 90's to early 2000s. I think the fact that a lot of Americans don't drink enough water could be because we had lived with mainly just tap water and even before bottled water was the "cool thing" I don't remember drinking it much. I drink far more water than I used to, and it's always been in bottles.

  4. Only in 3rd World countries is it adviseable to not drink tap water.
Here in Australia all tap water has been accessed so it is quite harmless,
drinking bottled water is just a social fad and anyhow why pay $1 for a small
bottle of "so-called CLEAN / PURIFIED" water when really you have no proof
of where the bloody stuff did come from??
I've even seen so called water snobs filling their "beloved and socially up-market"
water bottle from a park tap!!!
What an expensive bloody joke this water bottle drinking is.
Company owners of this bottled water must be rolling in laughter as they
count the "loot" coming into their bank accounts!!

  5. I can drink either one. I have a filter on my faucet that helps purify it so they say. I definitely do not drink as much as I should.

  6. If I'm somewhere with questionable water, like India, I drink bottled water, but at home I drink out of the tap. Oregon water is delicious.

  7. I can remember when bottled water first made an appearance. I couldn't believe people were actually paying to drink water.

  8. I live in a part of Montreal where our water has been rated THE cleanest. I don't drink tap water because I don't like the taste of it. I have a refrigerator where you just have to press a lever and you get fresh and tasty water, chemical free, directly from the fridge. I drink that instead. :)

  11. Of COURSE I don't drink tap water!
I drink water from the water dispenser on the refrigerator. Which is attached to...the tap water line.
    Never mind.

  12. No. I have never liked the taste of tap water. I usually buy canned or bottled water.

  13. I use tap water to cook with. I've read that bottled water is sometimes not as clean as tap water and isn't as well regulated. I wonder.

  15. Both for us...tap when we are at home...but have bottled water on hand for outings.
I worry more about what the empty bottles are doing to our land than if the water in the bottles is better for us.

  16. Before, we were able to drink the tap water. But now, where I live, it is horrible. So no, not without a proper filter.
