During a recent baseball game played by members of my Unitarian-Universalist church (which welcomes many different religious and non-religious viewpoints) we had a few kids playing in the game too. One boy was about eight, and he could not to stop whining during the whole game. He sobbed when his mother got up at bat and was afraid she'd get hurt. He cried when he felt like his sisters were playing better than he was. His final whine was when I told him he was out on first.
