My Favorite Photos: Dorman at Veterans Day Parade

My high school was Dorman High School in Spartanburg County, SC. At the local Veterans Day parade back in November, the marching band were one of the first groups we saw pass by. It's been almost ten years since I've been in high school, but I was glad to see them.
The JROTC was right behind them. I was able to march in parade when I was in the JROTC program in high school. The marching was never bad, but getting prepared for it was very stressful.

  1. When I was a girl in 4-H, we had to practice marching too because every year we went in the Canada Day parade in our little one horse town. We had the biggest 4-H club in the province.

  6. Interesting.
Here on Anzac day - 25th April - the High School cadets and the private College cadets march with the "Diggers" - ( you call these people, Veterans).
WW2 "diggers" are very few these days, but those who can march do so with great pride and dignity, many are transported of those still able in jeeps or taxis. Korean, Malaysian insurgents, Vietnam and the recent wars in the Middle East (still unfinished and never likely to be successful), but we won't for fear of the "devil" get into that business.
You can google Anzac Day if you are interested and what it means.
I see the other Republican candidates are divorcing that maniac Trump as if he is encased in filthy fleas. Lunatic of the highest level and dangerous to the "life on this Universe".
Cheers and please vote in 2016 with intelligence.

  10. Great you went and took pics. I used to be in the Girl Scouts and we marched on Memorial Day, but I was always daydreaming along the way and always got out of step. Thankfully, I've never had to march again.
