Fact of the Day: Ancient Jewerly

Humans have been wearing jewelry for at least 100,000 years. One of (if not the first) types of jewelry were made from sea-shells.

  1. Many of the Pacific Islanders still decorate themselves with sea-shells, especially in Papua New Guinea. Some of the sea-shells are absolutely magnificent.

  5. Yup, we gotta have our bling. I didn't realize sea shells was one of the first types of jewelry but it makes sense.
