Nancy Reagan Passed Away Today

Former First Lady Nancy Reagan passed away at the age of 94. The cause of her death was congestive heart failure. I was born in her last year as First Lady so I didn't get to know her while she had the role. She will be buried next to her late husband Ronald Reagan (who passed away over a decade ago) in California.

  1. We had an interesting documentary on Nancy here this morning on the news. Australian reporters attached to the White House Press Club during the Reagan years
She was the pillow or pillar whom Ronald lent on.
I had no idea how much that assassination attempt on Ronald did to him. The amount of blood he lost, apparently in medical terms resulted on Nancy shepherding her husband more, especially during his second term.
I also saw a different side to Ronald Reagan - he would have been aghast at the present lot of candidates.
He was by far the most Liberal of Republicans in recent years.
Nice photo above of Nancy and Michelle Obama.

  3. Bullshit, literally today!? I heard it in background tv noise "in history on this day" time. I thought it was the anniversary of her death honestly, it would have been awesome to meet her since we had the chance!

  6. She was one of the most elegant ladies to ever grace the White House...and took such good care of Pres. Reagan. Theirs was a true love story.

  9. She had her flaws but no one can rightfully say she wasn't devoted to her husband.
