Question: Were You Ever Good at Jump-Rope?

I really liked jump rope when I was a kid. I was decent at it, but never could do anything fancy which mainly involved using two/three ropes or a group effort.

Did you like jump rope?

  3. My warm-up and cool-down involves jump roping, but I live in a small house, so the jump rope I use is more of the invisible kind. Even so, I would not say that I'm very good at it.

  4. It's hard remembering that far back but I doubt I was any good at it.

  5. Oh yes, I loved to jump rope. Used to jump rope to all those silly little songs. : )
Love double Dutch too where you jump with two ropes. Boy this sure brings back memories.

  6. When I was a girl in the 1960s, skipping was a major activity for girls, using both individual ropes and a long rope. Doing double dutch was too hard for me though. Like Happyone, I loved all those goofy skipping verses too. Wish I could remember them now! All I can remember is: "so-and-so and so-and-so / sittin' in a tree / K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"

  8. Only if I was holding both ends of the rope and going at my own pace.
