Question: Burial or Cremation?

Death comes to us all in the end, and I've think everyone thinks about this question at one point in their life. To be honest, it's really up to the people I leave behind. After-all my body is no good to me when I'm dead. I'm not even sure which way I'd want to go. Burial seems more traditional for me and can give loved ones the last look. But it's also a lot more expensive and takes up a lot of space. If I'm cremated, things are little more simpler.

Which way would you go?

  1. we have donated our bodies to Texas Tech University Med/Science Dept.
once they are thru studying them, we will be cremated. Our family will hold a Memorial Service when we die.

  2. I think we will do a traditional service-not crazy about cremation although I know that is the choice of many others.
You are TOO YOUNG to worry about that for yourself now though! lol

  3. I want to be above ground, out in the open, native American style. That of course isn't going to happen.
How much snow did you get?

  4. I just dealt with this issue with my late mother, who wanted to be cremated, with her ashes resting beside my dad's. When I go, I want my cremains to be scattered in nature somewhere pretty. The earth should be for the living, the dead don't need to take up precious space.

  6. I think more people are getting cremated nowadays, it makes a lot of sense.

  7. I have had all my burial arrangements made since I lost my husband in 1995. Everything is paid for except am sure the prices will increase on the casket. I will be buried by the side of my late husband's grave. It is very difficult having to make so many decisions when this happens.Enjoy every day.

  8. Mine were already chosen a long time ago but I am changing them now that I'm old enough to do so! Hahah
I wouldn't mind having my body in a museum to freak kids out. x)

  9. I don't know. But I would love to become ashes sprinkled beneath a newly-planted tree. Back to the earth...
