Elizabeth Warren Silenced by Republican Senate

Like many of Donald Trump's nominees, Jeff Sessions for the post of Attorney General is controversial mainly for his history of racism. Senator Elizabeth Warren read aloud a letter written by Martin Luther King Jr.'s widow Coretta Scott King who strongly opposed Jeff Sessions for a judicial role back in the 1980's. Now Mitch McConnell and Republican Senators voted to silence her on the matter of Jeff Sessions. Republicans claim it's because you can't "bad mouth" a sitting U.S. Senator on the floor, but he's a nominee for the Trump Administration. If he's got a dark history, you can't expect senators to just talk about gumdrops and lollipops.

  1. Now more people will become aware of that letter. The dumb Republicans should have just let her read it. Too bad Sessions will get confirmed regardless.

  3. Well as the spokesperson for "P.M Turnip Top" can get all overseas
leaders names and addresses wrong, I think it is about time I can join the 'club".
This "Turnip Top" seems to be surrounding himself with "yes people", who probably have to genuflect in "HIS" presence.
I am utterly sick of 'Turnip, Turnip news' here in Australia... the lampooning of the man is starting to get too much.
Now Turnip Top is upset that his daughter's range of clothes has been taken off the market by one clothing chain. Well if the bloody stuff is not selling why would a company continue to promote the item????

God he must have been a little horror in his schooldays.??????
I note that the Speaker of the UK House of Commons has refused to let "TRUMP / TURNIP" near the place and I wonder how the Brussels police
and military will cope with the protesters if and when "T/T" arrives......... then again "T/T" might take the 101 airborne division or the remnants of Pattons 5th Army for protection.
The mind boggles at the prospects and of course the OUTCOME???
    With sincere sympathy USA
