Pushing a little close to eighty my maternal grandfather had been sick for quite some time. My mother told me he had less than a week left the other day and she was right. He had four daughters, quite a few grandchildren, and even more great-grandchildren. I'm not as upset as I could have been, we weren't as close as I would have liked. My mother was from his first marriage, and his 2nd wife prevented him from showing up to events that would have my grandmother there. My paternal grandfather Blair was much older than Terry, so he died about a decade before I was born. Nevertheless he was still my grandfather, and now I have none living.
