Question: Stand Up Airline Flights?

I recently saw a news story about some airline somewhere was considering making flights where everyone stood up instead of having seats to sit down. I'm not sure the reasoning, but the only way I'd do that is if it was a short and really inexpensive flight.

Would you fly on such a plane?

  1. Yeah, only if really cheap and on short distances only!

  2. It can expensive to fly from anywhere in Canada to somewhere else in Canada...it's cheaper to leave the country in some cases. I'd do a short flight standing for sure.

  3. What if there's turbulence? What about being in a safe position if they have to crash land? No, I wouldn't but then I've vowed to never fly again after seeing all the BS going on in the airline industry. Making people sit on airplanes for hours with no air, no food or water and no working toilets? It's happened and people aren't pissed off enough in my opinion. I haven't flown in 23 years and don't plan to ever again.

  4. I guess it would depend on how long the flight was.

  5. I wonder if people be strapped standing up. Maybe the company will be called Sardines Air.

  6. No way. I used to enjoy flying but not so much. However, sometimes it is necessary.

  7. Hell no. Hit turbulence and it's human dominoes

  8. Nope---but it would give "faster your seat belts for take-off" a whole new spin. lol

  9. No ~ too dangerous, and anyone who experienced bad turbulence like I have knows that.

  10. No; I wouldn't fly on such a plane. What happens if you're stuck in a holding pattern on the runway for hours. It happens.

  11. Bullshit Adam.
No civil aviation of ANY COUNTRY would allow such a stupid idea.
This blog entry should go straight into the "MAD IMAGINATION BIN".

  12. I saw that same news story, I can't see it happening, and if it does I won't be flying.
