Fact of the Day: Volga River

At 2,294 miles (3,692 km) Russia's Volga River is the longest river in Europe.

  7. The once Stalingrad was on the Volga River.
    The scene of the bloodiest battle of WW2.

    The movie, "Enemy at the Gates" gives a blood curdling
    screen play of this event.
    Excellent movie with top stars...........no JOHN WAYNE
    or any American actors thank God.

    It is historically correct.
    Khrushchev is brilliantly portrayed and is he ever so brutal.
    Sniper war at its best...........scary.
