Guess that's where wells come in
Really? I should find out more about this stuff in case of the apocalypse and we need fresh water...just saying....:D
Never thought of the water underground, wow.
I realized this up at Happy Trails where there is water all over the place underground!!
Yeah it's pretty amazing the size and amount of underground water sources. I think I read once that 1/3 of Canadians rely on ground water.
Is that Lake Louise in Canada?Underground water is plentiful...........surely your readers know of deep wells in desert areas.....eg: Australia, Northern Africa etc etc??????????Artesian water is the lifeline of the outback properties (ranches) here in Australia.Colin
Unfortunately many of our critical underground aquifers ~ I'm thinking in particular of the Ogallala Aquifer ~ are being drawn down so much. I really worry about water and our future. btw ~ I'm reading "The Curse of the Narrows" by Laura M. MacDonald. It's about the Halifax Explosion that happened on December 6, 1917 ~ the biggest manmade explosion prior to Hiroshima. The author was recounting a brief history of Halifax, and I was surprised to learn that a number of the city's streets were laid out by Prince Edward (Edward VII) whom you wrote about a day or so ago.
we need a water witch
