Photo: Christmas Cake

I never had cake on Christmas, but Daisy wanted some after I had gotten a Thanksgiving-themed cake for the last few Thanksgivings. We went to the bakery department at Publix and I requested something Christmas themed. I was hoping for something more creative, but the faux poinsettias are nice.
We got a strawberry flavored cake this time. I actually prefer the flavor strawberry in most things, so I'm a bit surprised I've never had it in a cake. The color added to the Christmas theme I think.

  1. Looks yummy.
I usually bake a birthday cake for Jesus. : ) I asked my mom to bake one for Him when I was a kid and I have continued to do so.

  3. Cake is always good, my friend! My Mom used to make a white cake with strawberry jam spread between the two layers and a delicious boiled icing. I miss those days!
