My Brother's Dog Blue Has Passed Away

This picture was back years ago when she was still growing. Great Danes don't live long, so she was only about six when she died. I sort of saw it coming because I heard she was losing weight and not eating. I wanted time to tell her goodbye myself, but she was in such a sorry state at the vet, they put her down immediately. She was a very sweet dog, I never once saw her be aggressive.

  3. I'm so sorry to hear this, Adam.
I'm more of a cat person than a dog person, but I've always wanted a Great Dane. I've heard that in spite of their size, they are very gentle creatures.

  5. Great Danes are not the easiest or cheapest pet dogs to have.
They do have some gene that can cause early deaths ( so I have been told).
We had a Great Dane when I was little - apparently I would ride her like a horse. This dog was pedigreed and had the registered name of
"Lady Diana Camilla" - little way back in those days - early 1950's did we think the two names would be entangled in a royal marriage disaster - ha ha.
We ended up selling "L.D.C" to a top dog stud.

  7. I am also sorry Adam, Dogs become a big part of our families and I hate how short their lives are, it really hurts when you lose one.
