Question: Are You Good at Chess?

I don't typically consider myself good at chess or even checkers. I know how to play the game, but I lose more often that not against veteran players. When I'm doing good I rarely ever win, I just end up in pointless stalemates.

Are you skilled at chess?

  2. I know how to play chess but I am no good at planning moves ahead, so I don't usually do very well lol. I prefer a game like crib.

  6. I had a college professor teach me and we played every night for months. He was really good and even though he taught me, I never beat him. But I can play.

  7. Playing chess is good for your brain cells.
I played plenty of chess when I lived in Papua New Guinea.
Nothing much else to do up there in the 1960s at night.

    1. _Plenty of ridiculous "chess" going on in that mad house that once was called the White House.
Revolving doors - Tillerson out! One sensible person less, I wonder when Jim Mattis will be shown the door.????????
Replaced by the little brat - the offspring of the "present" wife.
What a bloody sad joke the US has become.

  9. My brother taught me chess when we were kids but I've never been that good at it. It's been years since I played and I don't remember all the rules anymore.

  12. My husband tried to teach me, but I never really learned. Just like cards, it's something that doesn't really interest me, although as you say it seems to be good for the brain. I have so many other things I enjoy, I prefer to do them.
