Life can sure go in many a way, especially if others force it to.
A disgusting episode which has rightly come to epitomize the bigotry of the time. But don't forget that tens of thousands of other men were prosecuted under the same ridiculous law up to the time when it was finally repealed in the late 20th century. They aren't remembered because they weren't famous, but the injustice is just as great.
There's a new movie coming out soon about that period in his life, the final 2 years in Paris. Can't remember what it's called but it looks good. He died a broken man, alright.
I've always thought Oscar WIlde was such an interesting person and a great writer. I love Dorian Gray.
