Photos: 7th Hill Pizza Palisades

We stayed at an AirBnB in the Palisades neighborhood of DC. This was the most notable pizza place I researched around our lodging. Seemed like a good idea, the DC crowd seem to dig it.
We met my mom's friend Angel there as she's a tour guide on school trips for DC. She was so excited to see a friend from back home so much, she took care of our bill, so that was nice.
I always like trying different pizzas, and while New York and Chicago are famous for their own style of pizzas, never heard of DC pizza as a thing. But if this is "DC pizza" I'm a bit disappointed. One of the strangest pizzas I've ever eaten. Flat as a pancake, did not like the sauce, and the cheese was strange. And...it was kinda burnt on the bottom. It's rare for me to not like pizza...but I did not like that pizza...
Well luckily there was a Safeway supermarket (we don't have any down in South Carolina, but it's typical for a grocery place) right nearby, and Daisy managed to make it right before they closed down the Starbucks area. She loves her Starbucks.

  10. Nope. DC is not someplace I would go for pizza. I can't believe I've never heard of the Palisades neighborhood. Time to go map it.

  11. My husband says even bad pizza is good pizza. I disagree. We have one that burns the bottoms here too, and I hate it.

  12. It's hard to screw up a pizza, but it can be done. Maybe the cook had an off day.
