One of the many subjects l took at school was Chemistry..And l do remember that..gold is unaffected by air, water, alkalis and all acids except aqua regia (a mixture of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid) which can dissolve gold. Gold does react with halogens. It will, for example, react very slowly with chlorine gas at room temperature to form gold chloride, AuCl3...(Goodness! What a memory this Sicilian has)..HeHe! :).
So its all golden
Good info. Although I don't have any gold to worry about. Have a great day.
well there you go! Now we know,,
Did know that but it is an interesting fact.
I always remember the chemical element name for gold (AU) by saying my head, A U (hey you) come back here with my gold watch... lol Helpful in school I suppose.
But the things people would be willing to tarnish about themselves for riches.
