When you have a girlfriend you have to face a fact. Sometimes you watch stuff you really wished you could avoid. Now I felt this way with the original Mean Girls, and actually enjoyed it for what it was since it was far more well done than I expected. However I heard the sequel was not up to par, came out way after the first movie, and is very low-budget.
The plot of the film is very similar to that of the first. New girl attends high school, finds a bunch of mean chicks, and drama ensues.
However in this one, the main good girl is more tom-boyish and never becomes part of "The Plastics" whatever that means. Even with the major plot change, it does have a feeling of Déjà vu.
It's not a horrible movie, but what can you expect from a movie made for TV release? Honestly if they make a Mean Girls 3, my girlfriend will be watching it alone.
