Fact of the Day: Pardons For Christmas

On Christmas day in 1868, President Andrew Johnson granted all former soldiers of the Confederate army an unconditional pardon.

oh there are plenty of pardons that happen...not sure if at christmas...this was important in the healing of our nation...back when politicians thought about the people...
