Fact of the Day: Not Exactly A Short Dude


Despite common misconception, Napoleon Bonaparte wasn't super-short or even short at all. He was at average height for men in France at the time. He stood at 5 feet. and 6 inches (1.686 meters).

Height of 5'6" was very much acceptable. He might have looked shorter when others around were somewhat taller

really?? I always thought he was short.. But I still consider he is short...

Napolean was considered Short because most of his generals and officers were quite a bit taller than him, so he was only considered short in comparison.

yep, I also think he was shorter than that according to historical facts. But short or not, he was an evil and vicious man who killed thousands of people playing invasions and war :(

yeah, & generally people were smaller back then as a rule too. maybe they spread around the short dude rumor because he was such a donkey's behind.
