Fact of the Day: Snow Mountain State


Nevada is named after the Spanish word of the same name which means "snow-covered" and it also borrowed it's name from the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

hok, but aving driven through nevada many times from california to utah, i mostly noticed desert & sage brush. yes there are mountains. lake tahoe is very pretty though.

I wonder if that gets confusing for spanish speaking folk in Nevada
