Fact of the Day: Missing Mona Lisa

In 1911 at the Louvre muesum in France, the Mona Lisa went missing. Turns out that Vincenzo Peruggia, a Louvre employee had taken the Mona Lisa by stuffing it in his coat shortly after the place closed. He kept it for about 2 years until he got caught after attempting to sell it to Italian museum.
