This is probably one of my favorite movies ever. I've seen it more times than I could care to count.
Tom Hanks does a great job playing Forrest Gump, the most charming dumb man you could ever meet.
I never really appreciated Sally Field as the mother Mrs. Gump. I thought she was rather mean as a kid, but as an adult, I finally figured out some of things she did to keep Forrest's life on track.
One of which led to one of the most popular jokes when somebody runs really fast.
I love how the film-makers got Forrest to interact with old footage of celebrities and political leaders.
I loved his tour in Vietnam.
Well until Bubba dies.
I loved Lt. Dan, a man who's every forefather died in every American war.
Except him, so after losing his legs (with no ice cream either) he goes into a bad phase of not caring.
But Forrest gives him a job on his shrimp boat.
If you haven't seen it, then you have to. It can't be missed.
