Fact of the Day: Nobel Woman

Marie Curie was the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize. She got the honor for the discovery of radiation which she also shares the recognition with her husband Pierre and their friend Henri Becquerel.

is that the same radiation that people who have cancer have to get? they don't like it so much. i've heard it really burns.

I had read her life story at one point. I think ironically she died of radiation poisoning at a later age.
