Japanese Words for the Day: Animals 8

 Squirrel is 栗鼠 (Risu)
 Skunk is スカンク (Sukanku)
Seal is アザラシ (Azarashi)
 Sheep are  (Hitsuji)
Porcupine is 山嵐 (Yamaarashi)

The kind of special tofu I get here at the Japanese place I like sounds suspiciously like the word for seal...

I love all the animals here. I saw a porcupine here at a nature reserve here in Montreal. You can actually pet a porcupine...so long as they are not in their defensive mode. Great post, Adam.
