Fact of the Day: Red Bride

The traditional wedding dress color in Chinese culture is red. However in modern times, the western-style white wedding dress is incredibly popular, and it isn't uncommon for a bride to wear both during different parts of the celebrations.

Even Indian brides wear red. They consider white a mourning color.

My DIL wore a red wedding dress trimmed with white lace - she's Chinese nor Indian. :)

I think that many people in India also wear red for weddings.
