Fact of the Day: Date of Christmas

While the Bible gives no exact date for the birth of Jesus, it was officially declared December 25th by Pope Julius I in the year 350.

I've heard that from facts they know of the time, it was supposed to be between spring and autumn since the shepherds were tending the sheep in the fields.

Well it beats pulling a date out of a hat.

even the year is unknown exactly ! it could be in -12 or something like that, and maybe when he died he was 34 years old!
but I don't think that's it's important: in the Christian religion, the most important are the symbols!
So Merry Christmas to you all!
