Fact of the Day: 7 Is More Than One

Unlike most other nations, Switzerland has no single person as the head of state like a president or prime minister. That role is provided by a seven-member Federal council.

Very interesting. I actually think that this is a great system, for it is a great way to ensure executive checks and balances.

that was a drawing of the first guys to ever take the role. It would be like throwing up a picture of Washington to show a president. They are a few women currently in the role.
