George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr. created the Ferris Wheel in 1893. It was crafted in an attempt to create something that would outclass the Eiffel Tower.
I bet because of this guy's name, a lot of people think the ferris wheel was created by George Washington. First president, inventor of peanut butter, AND ferris wheel creator? What can't this guy do!?
Wow, looks amazing! Wonder if the Ferris Wheel in Helsinki at Linnanmäki amusement park is the same size as that one.. Thank you for your comment on my blog!

Not sure it outclasses the Eiffel Tower, but it's much more fun!

Cool fact, although I'm not sure he succeeded.
actually Carver didn't invent peanut butter. But rather many other uses for peanuts.
While it certainly didn't outclass the Eiffel Tower, it was quite an achievement!
