Fact of the Day: Johnny Appleseed

While his story might be as iconic as a tall-tale like Paul Bunyan, but Johnny Appleseed was a real person. His real name was John Chapman and he became a legend while alive after he introduced apple trees to several states, and was renown for his kind nature.

Oh I love this story about Johnny Apple seed.
I read it in a childrens story book where they had a collection of stories. It was called Stories to Remember.
I still have the book.
In life I tried doing things like he did. Did you know every person on this planet should plant 240 trees in his lifetime?
This is good for the planet.
