Fact of the Day: Pigeon Radio

Despite his work that led to the invention of the radio (one disputed with Guglielmo Marconi) Nikola Tesla had nearly devoted the later part of his life to pigeons. He nursed many back to health, and spent two thousand dollars to heal a single white pigeon.

oh!!! what a guy!!!...i love pigeons, i've also nursed a few ...but anyway... that's a lot to spend on a bird... it must have been special to him
