Fact of the Day: Ice Skating's Origin

Ice Skates are believed to have originated in southern Finland more than 3000 years ago. Except the primitive "skates" merely glided on the ice.

Sure wish I could ice skate. Tried it once in 6th grade and broke my arm.

Gliding over the ice is a good thing I think! I've never been able to master it though I've tried a few times. I was always afraid I'd fall and break something :)
