Awhile back my fiancee Daisy and I decided to get a wooden birdhouse and paint it. While it was fun to give it some color, I knew we had to put it to good use at some point. Except this birdhouse wasn't as simple as the pre-made versions.
I read somewhere that birdhouse could use a few holes for ventilation, though I was afraid to drill too many of them. Five on each side seemed like a safe idea. I also had to drill some on the very top to establish someway for the birdhouse to hang.
I have it triple tied with some strong twine, so I'm hoping it will be stable enough to handle any kind of bad weather. Hopefully a nice little bird will see the house and make a nice home out of it.
