My Birdhouse is Finished!

Awhile back my fiancee Daisy and I decided to get a wooden birdhouse and paint it. While it was fun to give it some color, I knew we had to put it to good use at some point. Except this birdhouse wasn't as simple as the pre-made versions.
I read somewhere that birdhouse could use a few holes for ventilation, though I was afraid to drill too many of them. Five on each side seemed like a safe idea. I also had to drill some on the very top to establish someway for the birdhouse to hang.
I have it triple tied with some strong twine, so I'm hoping it will be stable enough to handle any kind of bad weather. Hopefully a nice little bird will see the house and make a nice home out of it.

It looks great! We made some last year, but they were just for decoration. Too small to actually house any birds.

It looks really nice, just watch out for pesky squirrels! They can chew through thickest rope!
