Fact of the Day: American Hummingbirds

The hummingbird is native to almost every U.S. state including Alaska. The only exception is Hawaii.

I keep meaning to put up a feeder. Maybe this year. I know the kids would enjoy seeing these birds!

I love hummingbirds; didn't realize they lacked them in Hawaii. They have so many birds there!

Just think of that long flight to Hawaii with all of that water in between. Best to stay on dry land.

Interesting trivia about the hummingbirds. I don't get to see them very often.

I love birds! I visited a birds of prey center a few weeks ago and I determined that my favorite bird is the screech owl :)
